How do i get rid of blue shadow boxes underneath desktop icons?

Example ..underneath the internet explorer icon ,where it says Internet Explorer is highlighted with a blue shadow box and i cant get rid of it ......any suggestions?|||go into the place where u select ur wallpaper and go to sceme|||Assuming you%26#039;re running XP. Turn on %26quot;drop shadows%26quot; which makes the icon text background transparent.





System Properties -%26gt; Advanced -%26gt; Performance Settings





Scroll down the list box until you find %26quot;Use drop shadows ...%26quot; and tick the box. Ok until everythings gone and then left click on a blank part of the desktop.
