I want to mamke a shadow box to show my love for my girlfriend, just need some ideas....?

I want to mix together a few things.

1) Our first kiss was on the beach. I want to drive to the beach and use that sand.

2) Roses, She loves roses. I can dry them out and put them on there

ANy other ideas?

Also how can I use the sand from the beach in a shadow box? Im just curious what everyone thinks about setting this up. I want to hear all your ideas and suggestions!|||Awwww that%26#039;s so sweet! I made a boyfriend a shadow box one and he loved it! The key to creating a shadow box is to make it completely personal and romantic. What you have so far for ideas sounds good, so here are a few more suggestions.

- if you%26#039;ve ever taken any photo-booth type picture in a mall or something, include it in there. These pictures are often silly ones, which will definitely make her smile.

- throw in little toys or gadgets that may represent inside jokes.

-burn her a mixed CD of all the songs that remind you of her, and make an inside pamphlet with paper [preferably on the computer with a program like %26quot;MS Paint%26quot; or something], telling her why you picked those songs. Have a picture of you two be the cover. Awww :]

- It%26#039;s sorta corny, but write her a letter listing every single quality you love about her, and explain a couple sentences long why you love those qualities.

- put a giftcard [for any dollar amount] of the first place you guys ever went out to eat. She%26#039;ll love that you remember! If you don%26#039;t, non-chalantly bring it up and ask her about it.

- if you are creative, write her a poem. It doesn%26#039;t have to be amazing, or even serious for that matter. Just something small and funny to show that you tried.

**Most girls are suckers for romantic guys, trust me. It%26#039;s completely adorable that you are making her a shadow box. I wish my boyfriend would make me one!

It sounds like you%26#039;re gonna master this gift. I wish you the very best! Happy Holidays! :]|||Sounds like the way my husband proposed to me.

You can either glue some sand onto the bottom of the box...or put it in a tiny jar from a craft store.

Add a leaf from your first walk and some movie ticket stubbs (or some other momento of a fun date), a picture of the two of you..and maybe a teeny rocking chair from the dollhouse section of the craft store...%26quot;ill love you til the rocking chair%26quot;....mmmm|||Sounds good.

WTF is a shadow box?|||Get some sand colored paint and mix it with sand from the beach, you want the texture to be really gritty. Spread the paint and sand mixture evenly onto the box. Let it dry and then glue some seashells around the outside of the box. You can fill it with some dried or silk rose petals or buds. The paint and sand mixture will resemble wet sand when it is dry. I did that on the frame of bathroom mirror and it looks awesome.|||for the sand I would find a small bottle with a cork and glue the bottle down...thsi way there won%26#039;t be any mess of sand if you were to just glue that down...

I would place a picture of you 2 in the center of the box, or do like a flim strip type photo(looks just like a fil strip but with visible pictures of yourselves) our you two across the box....

Umm you could add movie ticket stubs to the box(if ya have them)

I would find a nice big embelishment to glue to once corner of the box, in the shape of a heart or something of that matter.

Put a quote along the bottom of the box that best describes how you feel about her.

anything that is small, memorable to you 2, and can be glued into the shadow box forever is something you could put in there|||You can either glue the sand to a piece of paper for the backdrop or maybe put it in a pretty jar and set it in the shadow box. If u have saved anything from your time together, like movie tickets or matchbook from a restaurant or anything that would be cool to put in there, anything sentimental girls love, great idea, she should love it!
