How can I relax my shoulders and neck more when boxing?

Whenever I%26#039;m sparring, hitting the pads, or even the heavy bag, I tense up way too much. I stop and relax, but ten seconds later, I%26#039;m all tight.

More shadow boxing in front of the mirror?

I dont know, but i really need help. Im tiring myself out way too fast.

Thanks|||.|||that%26#039;s a darn good question because I do the same thing when sparring.

on the bags i%26#039;m good and relaxed. Mine has to do with me thinking to much. On the bags i%26#039;m free flowing, double..triple jabs..rollout..movement...everything flows

I get to sparring under fire....lol...I tense up. instructor hates it. I get fluid for a min then back to tense. I kinda feel more aware and under control when I%26quot;m tense though. When i%26#039;m loose I lose focus at times and get hit with stuff that I shouldn%26#039;t

so basically I can%26#039;t help you. lol but I know what you mean...it wears you out.|||When you start doing it, take a deep breath, shrug your shoulders as high as you can and let them drop as far as they%26#039;ll go. Tell yourself to relax or get hit. Tell yourself %26quot;tense gets you hit%26quot;.|||Change stance the only way to be relaxed is to think in a relaxing way. Yes do more shadow boxing and use wrist weights. Jump rope
