I keep thinking they have a fancy (maybe spanish sounding?) name, but it eludes me. They%26#039;re kind of like shadow boxes, kind of like the ol%26#039; shoe-box dioramas. Have a single idea presented artistically. There are actually %26quot; %26quot; artists out there. Does anyone have any idea what I am talking about?|||The only thing I can think of is that diorama%26#039;s are also known as: Daguerre%26#039;s Diorama - after the inventor of the diorama. (See reference site below.)That is a different sounding name. Other than that, I could not think of, or find much else to help.|||Could you be thinking of %26quot;trompe L%26#039;oeil%26quot;?
This usually refers to a painting that, when seen from a distance, appears to not be a painting but part of the things in the room.
The name means %26#039;fool the eye%26#039; and is pronounced like trump loy.
