Will shadow boxing wile holding waits increas my punching speed?

i have no equipment at all...

except for a few hand waits....|||No. Play baseball at all? If you do, remember when you put the weight on the bat and swing it a few times and then when you take it off, the bat feels so light and you can swing hard?

I got to be a fast runner in HS by sprinting up hills every weekend and after awhile I got fast.

You need to do some resistance training to improve. Throwing medicine balls is good and I read about getting a 5lb rubber ball you can find in every sports store and throw the ball against the wall by simulating punches.|||No. It%26#039;s silly because the resistance is the gravity pulling down so you%26#039;re only building strength for your shoulders. What you want are some elastic bands that can give you resistance in the exact opposite direction of your punches. Swimming is also great for building overall body power and speed.|||We get this Q from time to time, and the consensus seems to be that it%26#039;s a bad idea for your elbows. I think you%26#039;d be fine for upppercuts, but any straight punches would strain your arms.|||yes it will increase your speed and power|||it prob wont. it will help your punch power and strength tho
