Best place to buy boxing type things? IN real stores not online!?

I wanna buy some kind of wraps, boxeing gloves, maybe those bags that someone wears on thier hands and u hit them.

And are UFC gloves better then boxing gloves to hit a heavy bag, shadow box?

What ounce gloves should i get.

Can u gimme some good brands and price range.

Any other things that i should get.

Ps: I h8 putting raps on is there any other kind of wraps????????????|||Dicks... Most huge sporting goods stores will sell a variety of items in this line. Century is the largest supplier of all martial arts gear in the States.

UFC gloves are modified bag-gloves, so yeah, they%26#039;d be just as good to work on a bag with. Plus, with this type of glove, the wrap is built in. Century%26#039;s line retails around $50 (I think. I get it wholesale, so I can%26#039;t remember off hand).

As for boxing materials - get a heavy bag (70-100 lbs to start, just like weights, start small and work to big), a speed bag (also known as a headache bag - the ball-like bag that hangs from a platform), and, if you have a partner to help, get a couple hand targets also. You can get a stand to hold the heavy and spead bags (around $150 or so), but you%26#039;ll need some heavy free weights to hold it to the floor during heavy workouts. All in all, look at spending a good $250-300 (or more) just to get started.|||Gotta go to MOes!

Ok, I live in NYC and there are tons of MA supply stores here.

However the only real commercial sports store that I%26#039;ve found to have a decent selection of boxing equipment (and some MMA stuff) is modells.

Since its a chain, I%26#039;m sure there is one near or accessable to you.

Try to stay away from %26quot;nEverlast%26quot; gear, it wears out easy.

For a heavy bag you want to start out with bag gloves.

Also in the beginning you certainly want to use wrist wraps as you will likely hurt your hand if you don%26#039;t. Once you develop your hands you can stop using them if you choose to build your wrists in this manner but there will still be a risk of injury.

The reason boxer%26#039;s can deliver such force in the ring is that thier wrists are protected and thier hands are protected so thier weakest joint is thier elbow, not thier hand- which is why tyson kept breaking his hand every time he got in an altercation outside the ring.|||My favorite is Dunhams... it%26#039;s discount. It%26#039;s where I bought my MMA gloves, and cheap.
