What do you use to make a mirror reflective again? What kind of adhesive is used to make it stick to frame?

This is my late grandmother%26#039;s shadow box. It is about 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 feet and 5%26quot; deep. The mirror is attached, after I get it fixed, to the back and is very heavy. There are also 2%26quot; wide strips of mirror that frame of outside of the box, which I need to find a way to adhere again. The mirrors have spots where you can see through, so I need to know what to put on those spots to make them reflective again. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you much.|||I had an antique mirror that was beautiful and I wanted to give it as a gift, but it was in the same condition as you described your mirror, some of the reflective area worn or chipped off. There is a process called %26#039;re silvering%26#039; that I had done. It was a little over $60 ten years ago, and that was on a mirror about 20%26quot;x25%26quot; . I would suggest finding someone in your area by checking with a glass store, antique dealer, or enter the word %26#039;re silver%26#039; in your search engine.
