Can you help me figure out what to get my daughter for her 11th birthday? She%26#039;s such a sweet %26amp; smart girl who never asks for anything. She hasn%26#039;t given us any clues as to what she%26#039;d like and has grown up so much over the last few months. I don%26#039;t want to get her something that is too young%26#039;ish like dolls or bratz but I know clothes won%26#039;t excite her yet either. We%26#039;ve already gotten her the new Harry Potter book and a cool shadow box of butterflies (which she loves) but I want something special too. Ideas?|||iPod|||I recommend taking her to Tiffany %26amp; Co. and letting her pick out any thing she likes! Warning, she might pick something pricey!|||a gift card to a local mall|||I am 13 years old so I can remember my 11 year old days. But then again a lot has changed in the past two years. Lots of kids these days of MP3 players and labtops. A labtop is a good choice because she can have fun on it and it can help with school work. If she wears glasses get her contacts. Also, telling from what you have posted I don%26#039;t think she would like jewelry that much but I am not talking about Walmart jewelry. I am talking about just one really beautiful piece of jewelry that has real jewels that she can wear for special occasions.

It would be a creative way for her to express herself and you could do it with her. She can put pictures around the house in it too it makes all of the memories from the pictures come back to life again. I think if she is turning 12 this would be fun and blow some time when she is bored over the summer.|||~would she like a chi? (the hair straightener)

btw-what is a shadow box of butterflies?|||geeze your rich but her a horse and farm while your at it haha. Im kidding. take her out shopping and let her go to the stores that she wantsto go to and throw her a party. her friends will bring pressents too|||I am 13 and when I was 11 I really wanted to spend time with my friends but was not allowed to got places by myself. I think, if you think she is ready, you should give her some sort of certificate that says %26quot;you are now allowed to do...%26quot; something that she really has been wanting to do but you wouldn%26#039;t let her. Some ideas are...
1. let her go to the movies with her friends by herself
2. let her go shopping with her friends
3. let her go on a date or go out with someone
4. let her spend more time on the computer or any other electronic she likes.
hope this helps!|||I would say the safest choice is to get a gift card to the mall so she has many store options and let her pick what she wants .. no worries there .. and make it fun like shopping and maybe you can see a movie she wants to see or something fun
you could get her a pet if you thinks shes responsible enough .. pets are always great gifts, friends, and a great learning opertunity for her ... maybe a hamster, rabbit or even cat or dog?! that is if she likes animals (i know i would love to get a pet as a gift!!)
maybe even a nice piece of jewelry with her name on it or birthstone .. something she can use everyday and feel more mature.|||maybe take her someplace she really enjoys and she doesn%26#039;t see too often. an amusement park, the zoo, etc. just give her an entire day of attention and fun. let her pick what she wants to do.|||give her a 200 dollar gift card from her fav store in the mall!!! it maded me happy wen i got mine!!!|||take her for a girls day with lunch, shopping, and trip to the spa/salon.|||savings account...|||no one could go wrong with a pet =)|||IM 11 TOO! wow, you%26#039;re daughter must be a really great girl. never asks for anything? wow. give her a huge party with all her friends! i%26#039;m sure she%26#039;ll love it and enjoy it, just like i%26#039;m ABOUT to enjoy mine! spend some money and take time to organize a great party for her! if you just cant fit in having a party in your schedulle, maybe u should get her something related to her hobby. maybe buy her a laptop, to celebrate her growing up!|||A laptop which she can use to type and research her homework.|||hollister clothing.|||Does she enjoy doing arts and crafts? cause you could get her like a scrapbook kit, and she can make one about her life. You could also give her a digital camera to go along with it, so she can continue to take pictures to add to it!
Hope this helps.|||My oldest daughter recently turned 11, and we went through the same thing when trying to decide what to get her, as she claimed to not want anything. She always receives money from relatives, so general gift certificates and cash aren%26#039;t something we ever give our kids.
Here are some things we considered:
*Portable CD/DVD/MP3 player
*Digital camera
*Several movie tickets
*%26quot;Grown-up%26quot; art supplies
*Board games
*Game for her Nintendo DS (Animal Crossing and Sims2 Pets are both ones she really enjoys playing now)
*Earrings (she had her ears pierced last year)
*Tween magazine subscription
*Animal statuettes (she collects these)
What you get her will really depend on her personality. Mine loves animals, but we have a cat and a dog and getting a new pet isn%26#039;t appropriate for us, but other kinds of animal-related gifts (nature books, animal related craft kits, etc) were on our list, as well.
Does she collect anything? You mentioned that she has an interest in butteflies, so maybe start her on a butterfly knick-knack collection? Or a magazine that focuses on butterflies?
Are there any kinds of things near your home that she enjoys doing regularly that you could give her a membership to? For example, maybe a zoo membership? It would have to be something you%26#039;d be willing to take her to regularly, and not something you would normally get anyway.
Best of luck!
~Kyanna|||hmm,
