When what and how do you amateur boxers practice that fight for competitions?
i just wanted to compare my training habits with yours to see. 5 days a week. First Shadow box 30 mins. Then spar for 3 rounds of 2 mins. Then hit the the bag for 15 mins. Then run 2-3 miles in 25 minutes. Do abs and then jumprope for 10 mins. Medium Intensity not hardest though. Go home.|||i believe your practice schedule should depend on how far you want to go in boxing. my schedule consisted of 3 mile run 6am, evening practice 3 miles, shadow box 3 rds, 2 rds heavy bag, 2rds dbl end bag, 2rds speed bag, 3 punch mitts, abs, jump rope 3 rds. spar tues and thurs 8-12 rds. but no road work on sparring days. in the amatuers its about volume of punches and endurance wins rounds.|||You need to spare more rounds. Get that stamia up. That is one of the most important things in boxing. Make sure you know your fighting style, get your footwork perfected and hit that headache bag. I see your running , thats also very good for boxing.
