Anyone got any experience and or tips for STREET boxing? In my school alot of kids start boxing for like fun and most are trained by people from the projects, Its not like those wussy fights where people swing randomly, they block, move, and punch effectively, how can I train my self without buying equipment? Like what stance, I%26#039;ve heard of shadow boxing but I dont really have any experience, How can I improve my blocking, my Punches, and my dodging? Any websites or anything that shows beggininers and stuff like that?|||I boxed for 12 years. Do not practice by watching videos or reading. You could get jacked up. Most towns will have a YMCA or a PAL police activity league with free or really cheap classes. Get some kind of formal hands on training before you fight.|||yes,i boxed on the booth five times at HullAND nOTTINGHAM GOOSE FAIR!RE,ILLEGAL STREET SCRAPPING YOUVE GOTTA BE IN THE KNOW ,AS WITH %26#039;ORRIBLE DOG FIGHTING,TO FIND THEM.UNLESS YOU KNOW,IMEAN REALLY KNOW HOW TO FIGHT,KEEP WELL AWAY!!|||The shortest distance between two points is a straight line.
So if you throw a straight punch, and your opponent throws a curvy loopy swing. Yours is connecting first. And most likely your opponent will be rushing in with a wild right with his chin up. So if he rushes in like that, chances are he%26#039;ll run straight into one of your straight punches. His forward momentum running into your fist could possibly produce a KO. usually how knockouts in the streets happen.
I really think straight punches are the secret.
Either that or your opponent will rush in with his head DOWN, swinging haymaykers. at that point just hockey box him. By that i mean just use your forearm to hold his head/neck down, and throw some uppercuts.
So remember, If you throw your punches straight. You%26#039;ve already greatly increased your chances for winning the exchange, since most untrained people will throw wide, ****** back, haymakers. Which are slow, predictable, and leave them wiiide open.
Good luck and put on a good show.
