How do you remove a sticky substance from a glass surface?

I bought a shadow box and the paper was taped to the inside cover of the glass. I%26#039;m unable to remove the sticky residue left behind. Any ideas?|||You could try %26quot;marinating%26quot; it in windex or some other cleaner.|||Spray with WD-40 and let soak for 5 minutes before wiping with clean damp rag.|||Goo Gone would work great.
